Physical Therapy
Physical therapists address the client’s physical and functional limitations. They provide services to those who have disabilities or changes in physical function and health status resulting from trauma, disease or injury. These include:

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists address the individual’s physical and cognitive limitations as they impact activities of daily living, work and leisure. They help persons who are unable to perform necessary daily activities because of trauma, disease or injury. These include:
  • Orthopedic conditions
  • Arthritic conditions
  • Neurological conditions
  • Cognitive impairments
Speech Therapy
Speech-language pathologists help clients with speech, voice, swallowing, language or cognitive deficits. They help persons to improve communication abilities and maximize independent function at home, work or school. These include:
  • Speech – articulation, voice, fluency
  • Language – expression, comprehension, reading, writing
  • Cognition – problem solving, organization/sequencing, memory
  • Swallowing – oral phase and pharyngeal phase
  • Primary diagnoses – stroke, traumatic brain injury, neuromuscular/neurological disorders
Pain Management
Chronic pain can have a major impact on a person’s life – emotionally, physically and spiritually. A person’s ability to manage pain is the first step in regaining a feeling of control of her or his life. Working as a team with each patient, our staff provides the most effective individual treatment plan. Conditions include:
  • Headaches
  • Chronic lower back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Myofascial pain syndrome
  • Fibromyalgia
Urinary Incontinence (Pelvic Muscle Dysfunction)
Mild to moderate incontinence occurs when the muscles of the pelvic floor have weakened, causing leakage of fluid upon laughing, coughing, sneezing, rising form a chair and the like. This may occur, for example, after childbirth or surgery, through aging and with prostate disorders.

Treatment involves specialized exercises and the use of biofeedback, which have been shown to be effective in 85 percent of cases.

Balance Program
Balance problems can be caused by visual, somatosensory (touch) or vestibular (body orientation) disorders. Falls and difficulties with balance can lead to serious injury, chronic pain and sometimes death, especially in the elderly. Even athletic performance can be affected. We use the state-of-the-art NeuroComŪ SMART Balance MasterŪ machine as our primary assessment tool in our balance program. With it, our staff can:
  • Assess hidden risks for falls
  • Identify specific balance problems
  • Develop targeted rehabilitation for injuries
  • Identify balance-related problems for athletes
  • Evaluate physical abilities & limitations before employment
  • Evaluate & treat vestibular disorders
