Dear Friends:
LakeView Community Hospital has a history of providing quality healthcare to the people of Van Buren County and Southwest Michigan, as you will see here at LakeViewCares.com. This has been true since our founding in 1939.
One important aspect of our commitment is the expansion of LakeViews facilities. In 1998, we completed a beautiful, $10.3 million addition, significantly enhancing our outpatient services as well as the overall convenience and attractiveness of the Hospital and parking facilities. We owe a debt of gratitude to everyone in the community who contributed to achieving this important milestone.
Here are several other examples that illustrate LakeViews commitment:
- A mission dedicated to serving all the people of Van Buren County and Southwest Michigan (despite the rigorous challenges of reimbursement);
- Broad geographical access through physician practices located in Decatur, Lawton, Marcellus, Mattawan, and Paw Paw;
- An economic impact of substantial measure, with an annual payroll of over $15 million.
However, I believe the most significant aspect of our services is what I refer to as the human foundation of our organization. As a group, the employees, medical staff, and governing board are always prepared to reach out and support our patients, their families, and our community, whether in times of joy or hardship. To me, that is a profound commitment a commitment to caring that signifies LakeViews sense of purpose.
As you will see in exploring LakeViewCares.com, LakeView Community Hospital is reaching out to you in many ways, all of them consistent with our mission to improve the health and quality of life of those we care for and about.
Sincerely,
Sally Berglin
